Responsibilities:
- Lead Operations: Drive all repair station activities, ensuring compliance with FAA 145 regulations and internal protocols.
- Maintain Standards: Oversee maintenance and overhaul processes, meeting or exceeding Turn-Around-Time (TAT) and quality goals.
- Coordinate Activities: Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities to manage both scheduled and unscheduled workloads.
- Ensure Compliance: Act as the accountable manager for FAA compliance, maintaining documentation and audit readiness for inspections and audits.
- Provide Technical Guidance: Offer expert troubleshooting and repair methodologies for component overhaul processes.
- Manage Capabilities: Continuously improve repair station capabilities, including tooling and test equipment.
- Develop Teams: Lead and mentor technicians, supervisors, and quality inspectors, fostering a culture of improvement and safety.
- Promote Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
- Implement Strategies: Apply LEAN practices to optimize labor, materials, and production planning, enhancing shop productivity and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in an FAA Part 145 repair station environment, with proven success in accessory repair processes.
- Leadership: Experience in managing Designated Engineering Representative (DER) repairs and collaborating with engineering teams.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on expertise in aircraft hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with a background in troubleshooting and repair.
- Certifications: FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License strongly preferred. Previous experience as a Repair Station Accountable Manager is ideal.
