Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and schedule all avionics work orders, ensuring upgrades, inspections, and installations comply with FAA regulations and company protocols.
  • Coordinate collaboratively with maintenance, engineering, and project management teams to meet timelines and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide accurate quotes for installations, parts, and inspections to ensure cost-effective project planning.
  • Lead and mentor a team of avionics technicians through training, feedback, and fostering a results-driven culture.
  • Ensure compliance by accurately documenting all repairs and installations, supporting audits, and maintaining regulatory standards.
  • Promote safety and quality by enforcing best practices, verifying completed work, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project managers regarding project scope, progress, and technical concerns.


Requirements:
  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) License or Repairman Certificate preferred.
  • Familiarity with Citation aircraft preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft avionics installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in an avionics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of FARs (especially Part 145), avionics systems (e.g., Garmin, Honeywell), wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance tracking systems (e.g., Corridor).
  • Problem-solving mindset focused on quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
