About the Opportunity:

Join our client, a leader in the aviation industry, as a Production Manager in Melbourne, FL. This is a dynamic role where you'll oversee the seamless flow of high-end aircraft painting operations, ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the site Operations Manager, you'll manage three shifts and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end painting operations for VIP and business jet aircraft, ensuring ultra-high-quality finishes.
  • Coordinate production schedules to meet stringent delivery timelines without sacrificing quality or compliance.
  • Supervise a team of skilled painters, prep technicians, and detailers, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and client-specific requirements in all processes.
  • Collaborate with various teams to deliver custom livery designs and flawless execution.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols, including paint thickness testing and surface smoothness evaluation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, and turnaround time while maintaining luxury standards.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and inspections for traceability.
  • Uphold professionalism and discretion with VIP clients, aircraft, and proprietary designs.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and compliant with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft painting, focusing on business/corporate or VIP jets.
  • 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role within the aerospace sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of high-end aircraft coating systems, custom paint schemes, and high-gloss finishing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of aviation industry regulations and luxury aircraft presentation best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience interacting directly with clients or their representatives.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Engineering, or Business preferred.
