Overview of the Role:
This role centers on reshaping the training landscape within the company. As a Training Manager, you'll lead the development and implementation of impactful training programs that enhance employee performance in aircraft maintenance. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring the workforce is knowledgeable, competent, and aligned with the company's operational goals.   

Responsibilities: 
  • Overhaul Training Program: Revamp employee training programs to ensure full compliance with 14 CFR part 145 requirements. 
  • Develop & Implement Programs: Create and manage training initiatives for airframe, engine, avionics, and other specialized topics. 
  • Facilitate Sessions: Lead engaging training sessions, including "train the trainer" programs to enhance internal capabilities. 
  • Assess Skills & Identify Gaps: Perform skills assessments to identify training needs and prioritize development. 
  • Create Matrices: Develop training matrices for various roles to support consistent skill progression. 
  • Manage Records: Implement systems for tracking and ensuring compliance with all training activities. 
  • Evaluate Effectiveness: Collect feedback and measure training outcomes for continuous program improvement. 
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Align training efforts with organizational goals through close collaboration with business leaders. Leverage Vendors: Identify and collaborate with external vendors to supplement and enhance training programs. 
  • Apply Best Practices: Integrate modern learning methodologies for more engaging and effective training experiences. 
  • Lead & Support Team: Provide leadership and foster a positive, career-focused training environment.   

Requirements: 
  • Proven experience in developing and managing training programs, particularly in aviation or similarly regulated industries.
  •  In-depth knowledge of regulations, especially 14 CFR part 145, concerning maintenance training. 
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent facilitation and communication capabilities. 
  • Ability to conduct skills assessments and design effective training matrices. 
  • Experience working with external vendors to enhance training offerings. 
  • Proficiency in applying best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles.
