Responsibilities
As a Flight Paramedic, you will:
- Deliver advanced critical care, emergency treatment, and life support during air and ground medical transports.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnoses, and interventions in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
- Accurately document patient care, transport details, and billing information.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, medical professionals, and external stakeholders.
- Participate in ongoing training, skill development, and continuing education to maintain and enhance clinical proficiency.
- Ensure compliance with medical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support public relations and community outreach initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active paramedic certification in Indiana (required).
- Experience: Minimum of three years in a high-volume 911/pre-hospital setting (five years preferred).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and PHTLS/ITLS (NRP preferred; instructor certifications are a plus).
- Specialized Training: FP-C certification (required within 24 months of hire).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (preferred).
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, maintain weight below 235 lbs, and pass a pre-placement physical exam.
Compensation & Benefits
- Earnings: Potential annual earnings up to $81,170, including bonuses.
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 for eligible candidates.
