Responsibilities:
  • Perform specialized functions, complex assessments, diagnoses, therapies, and emergency treatments for patients during rotor-wing, fixed-wing, or ground transport.
  • Document accurate information for assessment, treatment, stabilization, and billing of patient transports.
  • Maintain and facilitate effective communication with management, customers, and all levels of personnel.
  • Participate in PR and marketing activities and continue education regarding the care and transport of critically ill/injured patients.
  • Ensure compliance with necessary certifications and competence in annual requirements.
  • Clinically function under the program’s Medical Director’s licensure and maintain knowledge of local Department of Health Services regulations and practices.


Requirements:
  • Active paramedic certification in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of three years (five years preferred) of current Paramedic field experience in a busy 911/pre-hospital service.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and PHTLS/ITLS certifications; NRP and instructor certifications preferred.
  • FP-C certification within twenty-four months of hire.
  • Preferred flight or transport experience.
  • Completion of the education/orientation program.
  • Effective human relations and basic computer skills.
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Ability to pass a physical exam, drug screening, background check, and maintain body weight below 235 lbs.
