Join our client's dynamic team in Kinston, NC, as an AOG Hangar Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring aircraft are quickly restored to service during unexpected disruptions. This fast-paced and high-pressure environment will challenge and enhance your troubleshooting skills as you address complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues. Be ready to travel approximately 25% of the time to support exciting AOG events. Responsibilities:
  • Respond rapidly to AOG situations with on-site diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Perform inspections, repairs, replacements, and maintenance in line with FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve aircraft system issues quickly.
  • Document all maintenance actions in logs, work orders, and electronic systems.
  • Work closely with flight crews and maintenance teams to prioritize and resolve AOG events.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following FOD prevention practices.
  • Assist with parts inventory, tool tracking, and ensuring materials are available for immediate response.
  • Participate in safety audits, incident reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current on FAA regulations and best practices; travel up to 25% for offsite AOG events.

 
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • 8+ years of hands-on AOG aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Strong background in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Solid understanding of jet and/or turboprop systems, avionics, and engines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varied hours.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in various hangar environments.
  • Deep knowledge of FAA regulations, IPM, and ATA codes.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check.
  • Safety-Sensitive position requiring FAA-mandated drug and alcohol testing.
