Responsibilities:
- Conduct Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) operations in accordance with CAMTS guidelines.
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command (Captain) flying the EC135 SPIFR/NVG aircraft.
- Perform line pilot duties in accordance with company operating procedures.
- Operate safely during 24-hour operations, including day and night rotations.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, CAMTS standards, and company operating procedures.
- Assist with loading and unloading patients and medical equipment when required.
- Support the company's Safety Management System and ongoing safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with flight crews, medical personnel, dispatch, and external partners to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable service.
- Participate in community outreach and educational programs.
- Maintain professionalism while providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Qualified on the VE7A certificate.
- Commercial Helicopter Pilot Certificate.
- Instrument Helicopter Rating.
- ATP certificate (required within 12 months of hire if not currently held).
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Meet CAMTS minimum flight experience requirements:
- 2,000 total flight hours.
- 1,500 helicopter flight hours.
- 1,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) helicopter hours.
- 500 turbine helicopter hours.
- 100 hours unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided night plus 100 hours Night Vision Goggle (NVG) experience.
- 100 hours instrument flight time (actual and simulated).
- 1,500 helicopter flight hours.
- 1,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) helicopter hours.
- 500 turbine helicopter hours.
- 100 hours unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided night plus 100 hours Night Vision Goggle (NVG) experience.
- 100 hours instrument flight time (actual and simulated).
- Ability to meet the company's flight crew weight restriction policy (235 lbs. or less).
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to successfully complete interviews with company leadership and operational partners.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, functional capacity exam, drug screening, and background check.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance while loading and unloading patients and equipment.
