About the Opportunity:
Embark on an exciting journey as the Head of Repairs for our client, an industry leader in aerospace services, known for its dedication to quality, safety, and compliance. Immersed in the prestigious KC-46 CASPER MAC Program, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the U.S. Air Force. This position is integral to maintaining the operational readiness of the rapidly expanding KC-46A Pegasus fleet. Responsibilities
- Manage the full repair order lifecycle for 837 NSNs, from order creation through timely closure.
- Monitor daily repair queues, vendor ETAs, and RTAT deadlines.
- Escalate repair orders that exceed Day-20 RTAT thresholds.
- Coordinate repair status updates between AvSight and CAVAF systems.
- Qualify and manage FAA Part 145 repair vendors and negotiate repair quotes.
- Support proposal requests with repair estimates, vendor quotes, and capacity statements.
- Lead Beyond Economical Repair (BER) determinations and government approval submissions.
- Develop exchange pool inventory strategies and manage spare parts usage.
- Maintain accurate repair records and support reporting and audit readiness.
- Supervise, train, and develop the Repair Management team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or defense repair/overhaul operations.
- Experience working with FAA Part 145 repair stations and vendor management.
- Proven experience managing repair turnaround schedules and defense contract compliance.
- Strong data management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to obtain access to Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with KC-46A or similar U.S. Air Force aircraft components.
- Familiarity with DoD supply chain and invoicing systems.
- Experience using aviation ERP systems such as AvSight.
- Knowledge of FAR and DFARS repair contract requirements.
- Experience managing repair programs under IDIQ or MAC contracts.
- Six Sigma or Lean process improvement certification.
