Total Aviation Staffing is hiring an Aerospace Electrician III for our client, a leading aerospace organization supporting complex electrical systems, wiring harness installations, and production-level aerospace projects.
This role is ideal for an experienced aerospace electrician or aircraft electrical technician who can execute advanced wiring, installation, modification, inspection, and testing work in a fast-paced production environment. You will help turn technical drawings, work specifications, schematics, and test procedures into high-quality aerospace electrical installations.
If you have strong experience with wiring harnesses, electrical installations, confined-space work, schematic interpretation, and leading small task teams, this is a strong opportunity to step into a hands-on role with leadership responsibility and meaningful technical impact.
What You’ll Do
As an Aerospace Electrician III, you will perform complex aerospace electrical work while supporting production planning, quality coordination, installation compliance, and team execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review and validate work specifications, technical documents, drawings, and test procedures.
- Execute complex electrical installations, modifications, troubleshooting, and testing in aerospace production environments.
- Install and verify wiring harnesses, electrical assemblies, and related aerospace electrical systems.
- Work on high-density wiring and confined-space installations while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and testing protocols.
- Lead or participate in production planning meetings and quality assurance coordination sessions.
- Coordinate with Quality, Program Management, and customer representatives to support work sequencing and issue resolution.
- Identify and resolve installation challenges, technical concerns, and production constraints.
- Lead small task teams and help ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Provide on-the-job training and technical guidance to junior electricians.
- Follow all safety, Foreign Object Debris prevention, quality, and aerospace production procedures.
- Maintain compliance with company quality management processes and aerospace safety requirements.
- Communicate clearly with QA, Project Management, leadership, and customer representatives.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a skilled aerospace electrical professional who can work independently, lead small teams, and perform detailed electrical work with a high level of accuracy. You should be comfortable reading technical data, working in tight spaces, managing complex wiring installations, and communicating with quality and program teams.
This role is a strong fit for someone who understands that aerospace electrical work is not the place for “close enough.” Wiring, routing, testing, and documentation all need to be right — because aircraft are famously not fans of guesswork.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5–8 years of experience in aerospace production, aircraft electrical work, or a related technical environment.
- Experience executing complex wiring harness installations.
- Ability to verify electrical installations for compliance with program requirements.
- Ability to interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and testing protocols.
- Experience supporting electrical installation, modification, troubleshooting, or testing work.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lead small task teams and provide on-the-job training to junior team members.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow safety, FOD prevention, and quality procedures.
- Ability to comply with government and company background check requirements.
- U.S. citizenship may be required depending on program requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school, trade school, military, or vocational training in electrical systems, avionics, aerospace, or a related field.
- Military electrical, avionics, or aircraft maintenance experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar aerospace electrical role.
- Experience in aircraft production, aerospace manufacturing, defense programs, or aircraft modification environments.
- Experience working directly with QA, Program Management, customer representatives, or production leadership.
- Experience with confined-space electrical installations and high-density wiring harness work.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality management systems, FOD control, and production safety requirements.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced aerospace electrician to take on complex technical work while also supporting team leadership, quality coordination, and production execution.
This opportunity offers:
- Competitive compensation
- Hands-on work with complex aerospace electrical systems
- Opportunity to lead small task teams
- Exposure to high-impact aerospace and defense projects
- Professional growth in aerospace production and electrical systems
- Meaningful work tied to quality, safety, and mission-critical program execution
Benefits and Perks
This role offers competitive compensation and the opportunity to work on leading-edge aerospace projects. While traditional benefits such as 401(k), sick pay, and PTO are not included, this position offers strong professional growth potential, hands-on technical experience, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful aerospace programs.
