About the Opportunity:

This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the operational availability and dispatch readiness of the Part 135 fleet. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily maintenance readiness, ensuring optimal fleet dispatch availability across all Part 135 operations.
- Direct and coordinate overnight maintenance planning to minimize aircraft downtime effectively.
- Lead a team of Assistant Directors of Maintenance (ADOMs), providing accountability to meet performance targets seamlessly.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Control, Planning, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain for smooth maintenance event execution.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like MEL trends, delays, deferrals, and dispatch reliability, addressing root causes proactively.
- Ensure stringent compliance with FAA Part 135 maintenance requirements and internal policies.
- Act as the key escalation point for resolving maintenance-related delays affecting flight operations.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing AOGs and enhancing planned maintenance execution.
- Participate in weekly readiness reviews and strategic planning sessions.
- Support the SVP of Maintenance Operations in strategic planning and budgeting related to maintenance readiness.
Requirements:
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate is required.
- 8–10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, including 3–5 years in a leadership or director-level role within a Part 135 operation.
- Proven track record in maintenance planning and managing overnight or turnaround events.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations (Part 135 and Part 43) and operational readiness requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence across departments.
- Proficiency in aircraft maintenance tracking systems (e.g., Veryon, CAMP, Traxxall, Flightdocs) and maintenance control systems.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, and pass comprehensive background checks.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with the Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program.
Preferred:
- Experience managing maintenance operations for a large on-demand charter or regional fleet.
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or related field.
- Six Sigma or Lean maintenance experience is a plus.
