Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized and complex patient assessments, diagnoses, and therapies during transport.
  • Document accurate and comprehensive assessment and treatment information for stabilization and transport.
  • Maintain precise and compliant billing records for patient transports.
  • Facilitate effective communication between management, customers, and team members.
  • Participate in public relations and marketing activities to support organizational efforts.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions to maintain flight nursing competency.
  • Fulfill all annual competency and certification requirements.
  • Operate clinically under the Medical Director’s guidance, adhering to established protocols.
  • Report to the Manager of Clinical Services and National Director of Clinical Standards for clinical matters.

 
Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the employing state.
  • Minimum of 3 years of current critical care or emergency experience (5 years preferred).
  • Current certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
  • One of the following: TNATC, TNCC, ITLS, or PHTLS.
  • NRP and instructor certifications preferred.
  • Ability to obtain CFRN certification within 24 months of hire.
  • Previous flight or transport experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of Health Group education/orientation program.
  • Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.
  • Ability to maintain body weight below 215 lbs and pass required physical exams (including functional capacity exam).
  • Basic computer proficiency (email and electronic charting).
  • Effective verbal communication skills (in-person and radio communication).
