Responsibilities:
  • Execute specialized functions and complex assessments, diagnoses, therapies, and emergency treatments for patients transported by rotor-wing, fixed-wing, and/or ground units.
  • Accurately document assessment and treatment details during stabilization and transport.
  • Record complete and precise billing information for patient transports.
  • Facilitate effective and timely communication between management, internal teams, and external customers.
  • Engage in PR and marketing efforts, supporting the company’s outreach initiatives.
  • Enhance your knowledge base by attending mandatory meetings, chart and equipment reviews, skill labs, clinical rotations, and continuing education sessions.
  • Fulfill all annual competency requirements.
  • Maintain an active paramedic certification and all other required certifications.

 
Requirements:
  • Must hold an active paramedic certification in the state of employment.
  • A minimum of three years of current paramedic field experience in a busy 911/pre-hospital service (five years preferred).
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and PHTLS/ITLS, with NRP and instructor certifications preferred.
  • Obtain FP-C within twenty-four months of hire.
  • Prior flight or transport experience is desirable.
  • Successfully complete the education/orientation program.
  • Possess effective human relations skills and basic computer skills for electronic communication and charting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
  • Pass a pre-placement physical exam including a functional capacity assessment, drug screening, and background check.
  • Maintain a body weight under 235 lbs.
