About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the aviation maintenance industry, is seeking an A&P Mechanic for Business Jets to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular and detailed maintenance on business jets to ensure airworthiness.
- Estimate work time and materials for assigned projects to manage efficient workflow.
- Analyze blueprints, work orders, and sketches to troubleshoot and repair any aircraft issues.
- Ensure that all mechanical systems are in optimal condition before flight.
- Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and related documentation.
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft components, identifying defects or necessary repairs.
- Replace or repair defective or worn parts, ensuring compliance with FAA standards.
- Install new parts to enhance aircraft performance or replace recalled components efficiently.
- Conduct sheet metal repairs and other maintenance tasks as required.
- Communicate effectively with pilots and crew to resolve mechanical problems based on their reports.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and must be 18 years or older.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License with extensive knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Thorough understanding of FAA regulations, IPM, and ATA codes.
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. and provide two forms of Federal Identification.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and subject to drug and alcohol testing.
- Preferred: 4–7 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience, especially with Business Corporate Jets.
