About the Opportunity:
Join our client, an industry leader in providing helicopter services to the offshore oil and gas sector. This exciting opportunity is ideal for experienced VFR helicopter pilots seeking a dynamic role as a Captain on a 14 on, 14 off schedule, based in Houma, Louisiana. Your skills and dedication will contribute to the safe and efficient transportation of personnel to offshore facilities, making a significant impact on operations and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned aircraft safely following company operational standards and regulations.
- Prioritize safety and exceptional customer service in all operations.
- Maintain situational awareness with respect to weather, NOTAMs, and offshore facility status.
- Manage passenger and aircraft movements to ensure safety and compliance.
- Complete flight planning, preflight checks, and oversee manifesting for adherence to regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records including journey logs and technical logbook times.
- Report mechanical irregularities promptly and ensure airworthiness of the aircraft.
- Enhance communication with customers, representing the company professionally.
- Be available for dispatch to other Gulf of Mexico locations for temporary assignments.
- Stay current on all operational and safety procedures.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by Lead Pilot/Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- Compliance with 14 CFR 135.243 minimum requirements.
- 1st class medical certificate.
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Helicopter Instrument rating.
- 1500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in helicopters.
- 100 helicopter flight hours in the last 12 months.
- Completion of a screening questionnaire to determine eligibility.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a varied workload effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in the Offshore Oil and Gas environment.
- ATP certification.
- 200 offshore hours or 100 hours with 50 in the last 12 months.
- 25 hours in A119.
